New Candy Cane prices - Guild Wars Forums

just had a look at the new cllectors and saw that they only remove 15% dp
so there only a 1/4 as good as last years, so i was just wondering what you guys reckon there value will be

The old ones? They're worth a lot I'm sure now. For practical purposes, people can just get four wintergreen candy canes for a full DP recovery. Otherwise, the regular candy canes are now worth more.

I was hoping the regular ones would be available again easily. That way people who still have hundreds from last year won't monopolize the candy cane trade and decide what price to sell them for. I was hoping the market would be flooded with them, the more the better.

Uh wouldnt 4 wintergreen CCs = 1 of the old ones? They stack so whats the difference? Unless its for memorabilia.

Agreed, eventually the market will flood with the new CCs. Though I still think that the price of the old ones will drop because of the new ones.

My guess is that the new CC's will be plentyfull till half october next year, and that the original canes will be around 1K again after that. (remember 4 New cc's instead of 1.

for removing DP , elixers of valour are much more efficient

( put you to 10% morale stright away = from DoA [i got some from a coffer of whispers

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't that just remove 10% of your DP? In my experience when I have DP and I kill a boss, it just removes 2 strikes from my DP.

But for the new ones, i'm thinking they will be around 800g. Why?
Not many people wait to get 60% dp to use a 05 candycane. For 1. its pointless because you'd be going around with a heavy dp up until 60% and 2. it seems wasteful for me to use a candycane that removes 60% dp and use it for 15% dp (1 death). so the new 06 candycanes seem a little more smart?
I can definately see green candycanes being sold more than last years candycane.

I believe that the Rainbow Candy Canes will equate to the old ones - i.e full repair of dp

No, they won't. Gaile commented that the dev team felt the full dp removal was too strong after they put it in. That was why they changed it. The full dp wipeout canes won't be brought back.
